Crazula consists of the Southern Mathu Peaks and the frozen plateau south of them. It is bordered by the sea to the west, south, and east, by Fryzyr to the north-west, and by Ikhil to the north-east.
No one knows exactly when the four clans of Crazula first appeared in the region and digging out their homes, but it seems to have been a very long time ago. At least from the perspective of outsiders, very little has changed since that ancient time.
Every resident of the great underground fortresses of Crazula is a dwarf (or, at least, we presume so). There is a single, centrally-located small city on the surface with easy access to each of the fortresses as well as an even smaller base camp at the northern tip of the Southern Mathus that has a wider variety of races.
The dwarves of Crazula are divided into four large clans: Dratho, Glaub, Kamana, and Noovap. The clans largely keep to themselves in their own underground fortresses.
The vast majority of Crazulans worship Moradin, God of Dwarves, but there are also adherents of Auril, Goddess of Winter; Gond, God of Craft; and Waukeen, Goddess of Trade.
Much of the surface of Crazula is inaccessible except to experienced climbers -- it is not only steep, but above a certain elevation nearly always frozen. A single well-maintained road winds its way up from the base camp to Dwarfhome City, with shorter roads leading from there to the main entrances of each clan's underground fortress. It is rumored that each of these fortresses also has other secret entrances into peaks and valleys throughout the region.
Each clan is ruled by a council of its eldest members. Beyond this, little is known by non-clan members. Each clan send a representative to another council that administers Dwarfhome City and the base camp and settles disputes between clans.
Outsiders know little of the culture of Crazula, except that it is secretive.
Crazula mainly exports quarried stone, ores of iron and other common metals, and expertly crafted metalwork. They also trade mutton, goat, and mushrooms for other fresh foodstuffs.
