Fryzyr is a vast coniferous forest in the southwest of Tarleaux. It is bordered by the sea to the west, Muftigowen to the north, Barston to the east, and Crazula to the south.
Nothing notable to write down.
A few settlements on the borders of Fryzyr are populated by Half-Elves, Humans, and Halflings, but the forest itself is the exclusive domain of the High Elves.
Outsiders do not know much about the religious preferences of Fryzyrans.
The forest proper extends from the sea to the base of the Southern Mathus and even onto the mountains themselves, though the part on the mountains is instead considered part of Crazula. To the north and east there are some open plains on the Fryzyr side of the border.
The forested part of Fryzyr is covered in snow for most of the year. It is an old-growth forest dominated by giant coniferous trees that grow very slowly during their brief warm season each year.
Outsiders have no knowledge of the governance of Fryzyr -- they know only that the forest is off-limits to them, and that anyone who wanders inside is quickly returned to one of the border settlements.
Outsiders have little knowledge of the culture of the High Elves, though it is well-known that they consider themselves superior to the other races and think of Half-Elf children as sources of terrible shame.
The High Elves have very little contact with the outside world and do not seem to engage in trade except in the most dire situations.
